COVID-19 lockdown: Delhi’s migrant labourers find some relief

New Delhi, Apr 15 (ANI): In several areas of the national capital, migrant labourers have found some relief amid the nationwide lockdown in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. Migrant workers said that they are getting food, however they are uncertain about their future. At Gandhi Nagar area of Delhi, the workers who mostly came from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are surviving on food given by Delhi Government. A migrant worker who got stuck at Chandni Chowk area, after the announcement of nationwide lockdown, said,“ I am leaving here for last one month, don’t have any clue what will happen next” A woman migrant worker who is living temporary near Sarojini Nagar, said, “My children are at home, and I got stuck here, there is food but only rice is not filling are stomach.”
