COVID-19: People cross snow covered mountains in Rajouri to reach hometown

Rajouri (J&K), May 01 (ANI): Several people of J&K’s Poonch and Rajouri district who are working in the Kashmir Valley are crossing snow covered areas of Pir Panjal Mountain range to reach their home towns amid COVID-19 pandemic. National Highway-44 and Mughal road are closed due to heavy snowfall. Rajouri Police is deployed at various check points to keep a vigil on people trying to cross snow covered areas. There are total 614 confirmed cases of coronavirus in J&K. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 25, 007 with 1147 deaths in India.
