Cyclonic Tauktae: Sea bridge ruptured following strong coastal wind in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), May 15 (ANI): The weather condition has intensified into a deep depression of cyclonic storm 'Tauktae' and the strong coastal winds led to the sea bridge rupture in Thiruvananthapuram’s Valiyathura on May 15. High waves and strong winds have been reported in coastal areas. In view of cyclone, India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued red alert for Thiruvananthapuram. IMD had predicted ‘heavy to very heavy rainfall’ at a few places with extremely heavy falls at ‘isolated places’ in the state.
