DEA assures borrowing plan is designed to enable govt to do cash management

New Delhi, Mar 31 (ANI): Department of Economic Affairs, Secretary, Atanu Chakraborty said that out of gross borrowing of Rs 7.8 lakh crores, it is proposed to borrow 62.56% which is around Rs 4.88 lakh crores in the first half of Financial Year 2021 as compared to 62.25% in the first half of Financial Year 2020. Atanu Chakraborty assured that the borrowing plan has been designed to enable government to have sufficient amount to do its cash management and to meet its requirements.
