Deadly ICU Blaze in Cuttack: Relatives narrate horror, seek justice as 10 killed in incident

Cuttack (Odisha), March 16, 2026(ANI): Janu Mohammad, relative of a patient, says, "We had donated blood here, hoping that the operation would take place today. The patient has been admitted here for the past 20 days...I have come to know that 8-10 people have died. We are anxious; nobody is telling us anything...We don't know the condition of the patient...". Another relative of a patient, Gyan Ranjan Nayak, relative of a patient, says, "We were sleeping outside around 2-2.30 am. It started raining and I woke up. It was then that I saw that there was smoke everywhere. Suddenly, the AC burst into flames. The fire system wasn't working. So, the fire tenders that reached here helped a lot. But several people have died..."
