Delhi: LG Vinai Kumar Saxena flags off 250 Delhi Police vehicles

New Delhi, April 17 (ANI): Lieutenant governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar saxena flagged off 250 newly procured vehicles of Delhi police from Baansera on the Yamuna Bank near Sarai Kale Khan. Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora and other senior police officers were also present on this occasion. During this event 100 Ertiga and 150 Bolero were flagged off. The fleet of 250 vehicles introduced is the first tranche of the 850 Light motor vehicles (LMV) fleet approved by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs that comprises 300 Maruti Ertiga, 200 Mahindra Bolero, 100 Mahindra Scorpio and 250 Toyota Innova. These vehicles will further enhance the efficiency of the force needed for mobility in view of the growing operational requirements. Along with this, deployment of these vehicles will also ensure swifter mobility of Police in the national capital.
