Delhi Police busts interstate drug racket

New Delhi, April 14(ANI) With the arrest of two drug traffickers, the Special Cell of Delhi Police has busted an interstate drug racket. The accused were identified as Parmanand and Mohammad Alam. Both of them were supplying heroin in Delhi-NCR as well as Punjab and Rajasthan. Earlier, Parmanand secured license from UP Govt to cultivate opium on his land. After harvesting, in the guise of supplying opium to the Govt, he used leftover produce to make drugs. Further, he used to prepare heroin by mixing lime powder, sodium chloride and other chemicals. Parmanand supplied the drug to his associate Mohammad Alam. Recently, police received a tipoff that two drug suppliers will come near Ghazipur Mandi to supply heroin. Acting on this information, police laid a trap there and arrested Parmanand and Mohammad Alam. From their possession, police recovered 2 kg fine quality heroin worth Rs. 10 crores in the international market.
