Muzaffarabad, PoK, 07 May 2024: - The lack of infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is a major concern that has been highlighted by various observers in the region. Recently, a sit-in outside the Legislative Assembly of Pak-occupied Kashmir was organized to protest the cancellation of a crucial development package. The protesters vehemently criticized the government for what they perceived as an injustice. They specifically pointed to the cancellation of the plan for the construction of the 16 km Lohar Gali bypass, which had been approved by the National Highways Authority. The protesters asserted that the responsibility for the construction of the Lohar Gali bypass lies with the Government of Pakistan. They argued that such infrastructure projects are crucial for the development and welfare of the region. The cancellation of the approved plan was viewed as a betrayal of the promises made to the people.
