Dhanteras: Shoppers throng jewellery shops

Ahmedabad (Gujarat)/ Nagpur (Maharashtra), Nov 02 (ANI): On the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras on November 02, jewellery shops in Nagpur and Ahmedabad witnessed huge crowd. People flocked to shops with full enthusiasm to buy gold and silver ornaments. 'Dhanteras’ is observed on 13th day of the moon cycle wherein people offer prayers to Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity.
