Different varieties of pickles in great demand in Srinagar during Ramadan

Srinagar, April 15 (ANI): The demand for pickles is witnessing a great surge during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan in Srinagar. People love to eat pickles during Ramadan. These pickles are made from a variety of vegetables such as mangoes, chillies, and carrots. They are spiced with a mix of aromatic spices such as fennel, coriander, and cumin, and then preserved in oil. Now, non-veg pickles of different varieties like chicken, mutton and famous Kashmiri Wazwan are also available in the market. People buy these varieties also during this month as it enhances the taste of food during Iftar and Sehri. Their demand is so high during Ramadan that many shops are stocking them in advance. Some shops are even offering home delivery services. Pickles are rich in antioxidants and can help boost immunity and help in digestion. People from different parts of the country buy many varieties of pickles from Srinagar.
