Drug supplier arrested with heroin worth Rs 50 lakh

New Delhi, September 02 (ANI): Delhi Police arrested drug supplier Akram and recovered 50 gram fine quality heroin worth Rs 50 lakh. One hatchback car which was used in smuggling drugs has also been seized. Secret information was received by the police that a person involved in the supply racket of smack will be visiting Uttam Nagar West Metro Station for delivery. As per information, a trap was laid near the metro station to nab the smuggler. He was successfully arrested by the police team at the spot. During the investigation, accused Akram disclosed that he was working in BSES but during COVID-induced lockdown, he lost the job. To make his ends meet he came in contact with Deen Bandhu and Babbar, both residents of Jhilmil, Vivek Vihar and indulged drug trade. Further investigation is on progress.
