New Delhi/ Gurugram (Haryana), Nov 02 (ANI): The East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) sprinkled water on roads in Geeta Colony area of the national capital on November 02. The step is taken to settle the dust as a pollution control measure. The AQI in Delhi has gone worst after Diwali. Extremely poor pollution levels were previously predicted in Delhi due to firecracker emissions, unfavourable weather and a significant spike in stubble burning in the neighbouring states. On November 01, the Supreme Court-mandated Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA) declared public health emergency in Delhi due to rising air pollution levels. Meanwhile, water was also sprinkled in Haryana's Gurugram to combat air pollution.
