Farmers express gratitude to Haryana CM for increasing sugarcane price

Chandigarh, Sept 11 (ANI): A group of farmers met Haryana CM ML Khattar and expressed appreciation after the State Government increased sugarcane price by Rs 12 per quintal.While speaking to media, CM Khattar said, “Centre, state govt continuously working for farmers’ benefit. We introduced concept of announcing MSP of crops before it is sown”. “MSP of wheat to be sown in Nov-Dec has been announced. We've maintained max rate of sugarcane. Congress govt in Punjab increased rates after 3-4 yrs, whereas we've been increasing it every yr by approx Rs 10 per quintal and this year we've increased it by Rs 12,” added CM Khattar.
