First time in history of Independent India! India’s Defence Exports cross Rs 21000 crore-mark

New Delhi, April 01 (ANI): In yet another milestone for India’s defence manufacturing sector, country’s defence exports soared to unprecedented levels, crossing Rs 21,000 cr. As per statement posted by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, India’s defence exports surged to staggering Rs 21,083 crore in financial year 2023-2024. Talking to ‘X’, Rajnath Singh on April 01 made announcement about the remarkable growth rate of 32.5 per cent over previous fiscal year. The phenomenal growth reflects concerted efforts and strategic initiatives undertaken by Defence Ministry, under leadership of PM Modi to bolster India's defence manufacturing capabilities and promote indigenous defence production. This success story owes much to collective efforts of about 50 Indian companies, spanning both public and private sectors. These cutting-edge defence technologies and equipment have garnered significant interest from international buyers including Russia, Israel & UAE. Notably, India’s defence exports span across 84 countries and regions worldwide.
