G20 delegates take part in yoga session during ‘2nd G20 Health Working Group meeting’ in Goa

Panaji (Goa), April 18 (ANI): With an aim to showcase India’s diversity and cultural richness, the 2nd Health Working Group meeting commenced in Goa. The three-day event, which is scheduled from April 17–19, will host G20 delegates from more than 19 member countries. More than 180 delegates from member countries are participating in the programme. While enjoying the scenic beauty of Goa, infused with Goan culture, G20 delegates participated in yoga on the second day of meeting. Delegates did various ‘yoga pranayamas’ and performed different forms of ‘asanas’. Meanwhile, several cultural programmes have been planned to showcase India’s rich diversity based on the Indian philosophy of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’. A side event on digital health will be held on the sidelines of the 2nd meeting of HWG in Goa, April 18–19, 2023. The 2nd HWG meeting will have thematic discussions on three priorities areas that are; Health Emergencies Prevention, Preparedness and Response, Strengthening Cooperation in Pharmaceutical Sector with focus on Access and Availability to safe, effective, quality and Affordable Medical Countermeasures, Digital Health Innovations and Solutions to Aid Universal Health Coverage and Improve Healthcare Service Delivery.
