Government is committed towards welfare of tribal community: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) August 10 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that the Government is working with commitment for the welfare of the tribal community of the state. It is a government endeavour to bring prosperity to the lives of the people of the tribal community through various schemes. CM Gehlot was addressing the state-level function on World Tribal Day through video conference. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also inaugurated 43 projects worth Rs 166.90 crore and laid the foundation stone of 185 projects worth Rs 89.28 crore. He also started a three-month-long forest rights campaign for tribal participation scheme, community forest rights development scheme and for giving individual and community forest rights letters. CM Gehlot expressed hope that the newly launched development projects and the schemes will bring a change in the lives of the tribal people and will give further impetus to the development of the tribal area. He said that the people of the tribal community of the state fought against the British during the freedom struggle besides saving forests and wildlife, preserving our native culture, traditions and heritage. During the programme, the Chief Minister also underlined that the welfare of tribal communities and scattered tribes is the priority of the government.
