Govt has taken various decisions for welfare of farmers: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) February 17 (ANI): On the occasion of taking over the charge by newly-appointed Kisan Aayog chairman, Mahadev Singh Khandela and vice-chairman Shri Deep Chand Khairiya at Pant Krishi Bhawan at Jaipur, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot congratulated them and expressed that the State Government would be able to make better decisions for the reforms in the agriculture sector based on the advice given by the Commission for the progress of farmers. The CM underlined that agriculture plays a vital role in the economy of the country and the State. The State Government is committed to the welfare of the farmers. "In the last three years, our government has taken many decisions and implemented many important schemes for the prosperity of the farmers," he said. CM Gehlot highlighted that the State Government is bringing a separate Agriculture Budget in the State to increase the income of the farmers and to strengthen them. The work is also on to make a separate Power Company for the farmers. He also said that various concessions are being given through a new policy to the farmers to get a fair price for their produce and to promote food processing.
