Moscow (Russia), June 20 (ANI/ TV BRICS): The rowers are flying towards the finish line at "full throttle". They reach impressive speeds of up to 30 km/h with their oars. Around 1,300 athletes take part in the Grand Moscow Regatta.representatives of 7 countries compete in the largest international rowing competitions. For the first time, the Iranians have decided to compete for medals. One of them is Nazanin Malaei, a participant of the Tokyo Olympics. The bronze in the team rowing is her third medal obtained during all the days of the Moscow competitions.For 3 days, athletes have studied the capital's canal thoroughly - they covered more than 130 km on it. They didn't relax even during the breaks - they checked the condition of the boats, went for a jog.the team's success depends on the atmosphere in the crew. Therefore cohesion training is a must before the start. Of course, you can't do without strength and endurance either. The success of the race depends on them directly. Contrary to popular belief, athletes' height doesn't affect the quality of rowing.all in all, 69 sets of medals in 6 boat classes were competed at the grand Moscow Regatta. The athletes competed in singles, doubles, fours, as well as in eights together with the helmsman.Traditionally, among the favourites of the Grand Moscow Regatta are the Russian and Belorussian teams. They took more than half of all the medals. Soon the teams will meet again in Brest where they will compete for the prizes of the open rowing championship.
