Gujarat's hotel industry faces set back amid second wave of pandemic

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Mar 26 (ANI): Hotel Industry is on downhill, ever since the pandemic induced lockdown was implemented. Restaurants and Hotels in Gujarat have come to a grinding halt amid the second wave of COVID-19 virus. Footfalls have reduced to almost zero. Owners are facing difficulty to pay their staff. 25% hotels and restaurants in Gujarat have been shut down. Gujarat Food and Hotel Association president Narendra Somani questioned state government's deciiso0n of night curfew. Gujarat reported 1,961 new COVID infections on March 25. Currently, there are 9,372 active cases in the state.
