Gujarat’s ₹10,000 crore World Bank-supported Mission Schools of Excellence is transforming government education by equipping schools with smart classrooms, computer labs, science laboratories, and digital learning tools. Schools like Shrimati Sarojini Naidu Girls High School in Rajkot are providing students with modern educational facilities, skill-development training, and extracurricular opportunities in arts and culture. Students highlight the supportive environment, quality teaching, and access to libraries, laboratories, and technology-enabled learning. The initiative is especially benefiting children from poor and middle-class families by ensuring free, high-quality education. In addition, uniforms, shoes, socks, sports dresses, and school bags are provided free of cost. Through teacher training, infrastructure upgrades, and effective monitoring, the programme is helping build a future-ready generation aligned with the vision of Viksit Gujarat.
