Health Ministry confirms 149 fresh COVID-19 cases, 2 additional deaths

New Delhi, Mar 28(ANI): Union Health Ministry Joint Secretary, Lav Agarwal confirmed 873 coronavirus cases and 19 deaths so far. He said, “Since tomorrow, 149 COVID-19 cases have been reported along with 2 additional deaths.” Lav Agarwal said that the Health Ministry, along with the State Governments, is working towards community surveillance, rigorous contact tracing and containment strategy. “We aim to ensure that lockdown and contact tracing is practiced across the country,” he added. Health Ministry says that focus is towards the construction of dedicated COVID-19 hospitals and COVID-19 blocks along with isolation beds and required logistic to fight coronavirus pandemic.
