HP Police organise dog show at Shimla Summer Festival

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), Jun 08 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Police organised a dog show at the Shimla Summer Festival in the state capital. The dog squad of the state police also took part in the event, showing their skills at the exhibition which was organised to draw tourists’ attention and make the locals aware of the contribution of canines to reduce crime rate in the state. On being asked about the importance of the dog show, organizer of the event and co-coordinator of Himachal Pradesh Police’s Dog Squad, ASI Dhyan Singh Thakur said, “It is very important. We want to show that being dogs, they play an important role in our security, and keep our lives and goods safe. They play the role of soldiers, and in cases like of robbery and murder, drug busting, they are playing an important role.” The four-day Shimla Summer Festival had begun on June 4.
