I believe in ideology of Congress: Urmila Matondkar after joining the party

New Delhi, Mar 27 (ANI): While addressing the media, veteran actress Urmila Matondkar showed her gratitude to Congress for having her in party. She said, “Today is an important day for me as today I am setting my first step in active politics. I am saying it ‘active politics’ because I belong from a family where my thinking was influence by Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s thought process since childhood. I was born in an academy-oriented family but took films as career.” She also said, “I am neither in the party for elections nor I will go anywhere after elections. I am here because I believe in ideology of Congress. I believe in what it stands for.” Ahead of Lok Sabha elections, Urmila Matondkar joined Congress on Wednesday.
