India importing 13,000 MT oxygen from other countries: Dharmendra Pradhan

Panipat (Haryana), May 16 (ANI): Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on May 16 said that India is importing 13,000 Metric ton oxygen from the countries like UAE, Oman and others to minimise the oxygen shortage in the country in wake of COVID second wave. “Panipat refinery is currently producing 280 MT medical oxygen which was earlier 200MT. Panipat refinery is supplying oxygen to various states. We have imported 200 cryogenic tankers. India is importing 13,000 MT oxygen from the countries like UAE, Oman,” Pradhan said at an event in Haryana’s Panipat.
