Indian Railways operated 1.25 lakh wagons for transporting essential commodities: Govt

New Delhi, Mar 29(ANI): Union Health Ministry, Joint Secretary, Lav Agarwal informed that under Indian Railways, around 1.25 lakh wagons have been operated in the last 5 days. These wagons were operated for the transportation of essential commodities, such as food grains, sugar, salt, coal, petroleum, etc. The Joint Secretary further said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set up a dedicated fund – PM CARES- for COVID-19 through which philanthropics and citizens of the country can extend their support towards this effort.
