Indira Rasoi Yojana will start from August 20: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) August 4 (ANI): Rajasthan Government is all set to launch ‘Indira Rasoi Yojana’ in the urban areas of the state from August 20. Taking another step towards realizing the resolve of 'no one sleep hungry', Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has instructed the concerned authority to make all necessary arrangements as soon as possible. Under the scheme, poor and needy people will get nutritious food for just Rs. 8. Reviewing the preparations for the scheme, CM Gehlot said that the scheme should be implemented with the spirit of public service, transparency and public participation so that it becomes an example in the direction of providing food security to the poor people across the country. The Chief Minister said that the state government will spend Rs. 100 crore per year on this scheme. He directed that participation of service-oriented institutions and voluntary organizations should be ensured in the operation of the scheme. He instructed the district collectors to select such institutions as soon as possible. The Chief Minister Gehlot also directed the officials to constitute a committee at the state and district levels to ensure the quality of food.
