Anantnag (J&K), Jan 03 (ANI): The internet service has been restored in the Government Medical College (GMC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag on January 02. Earlier, the announcement was made that internet service will be restored in the Kashmir Valley from midnight of December 31. All network and landline connections were suspended across Jammu and Kashmir on August 05 in view of security concerns in the region following Centre’s decision to abrogate Article 370 that granted special powers to the region. Postpaid mobile services were restored in the remaining parts of J&K back on October 14. The central government had abrogated article 370 and also bifurcated the former state into Union Territories (UTs) of J&K and Ladakh.
