ITBP band plays ‘Om Jai Jagdish Hare’ during opening of Badrinath Temple’s doors

Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Apr 27 (ANI): The doors of Badrinath Dham opened to pilgrims on April 27 morning, amid the chanting of shlokas (hymns) and melodious tunes of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) band. The temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu was decorated with 15 quintals of flowers. Doors of Badrinath Dham opened for pilgrims at 7.10 am on April 27. There is evidence of its construction in the 7th-9th century. In the name of the temple itself, the city around it is also called Badrinath. Thousands of devotees gathered at the temple to witness the grand opening and waited to enter the shrine.
