‘It’s not new, India abstained on previous occasions’: MEA on Palestine’s letter

New Delhi, June 03 (ANI): While briefing on Palestine’s letter to External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that it’s not new that India abstained during the vote at UN Human Rights Council. “Palestine has written to all the countries who abstained. We have abstained on previous occasions too, it's not new and explains our position,” said MEA Spokesperson Bagchi. Palestine Foreign Minister Riad Malki wrote a letter to Indian counterpart Dr S Jaishankar and raised concern on India’s abstaining on Israel and Palestine conflict at United Nations Human Rights Council.
