J&K: Annual Urs of famous Sufi Saint Syed Noor Shah Saheb celebrated in Kulgam

Kulgam (J&K), Feb 11 (ANI): Annual Urs of famous Sufi Saint Hazrat Syed Noor Shah Saheb Wali Baghdadi (RA) was celebrated with religious fervour at the shrine in Kulgam district of South Kashmir. It was celebrated according to Islamic Calendar or Lunar Calendar. Jammu and Kashmir authorities made special arrangements for these devotees who came to celebrate the Urs festival. Hundreds of devotees including women and children visited shrine of Sufi Saint to pay obeisance. They offered prayers by resounding with recitations and chants of holy verses of the Quran. A joint prayer was also held in which all devotees prayed for peace, prosperity, unity, brotherhood and communal harmony in the Union Territory. Syed Noor Shah Saheb Wali Baghdadi is one of the greatest Sufi Saints of Kashmir valley. Their message was to maintain peace and prosperity among all communities and brotherhood.
