New Delhi, May 29 (ANI): In a historic feat, India got its new Parliament building on May 28. Erasing the symbol of ‘colonialism’, PM Modi dedicated new ’Sansad bhavan’ to the nation. He installed the sacred ‘Sengol’ near Lok Sabha Speaker’s chair in the Parliament. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a mission to irradiate the ‘traces of slavery’. PM Modi said that the ‘New India’ is leaving a ‘colonial mindset’ far behind. This is not the first time India has replaced pre-independence symbol with a new one. Earlier, PM Modi renamed Rajpath to Kartavya Path in September, 2022. He inaugurated the historic Kartavya Path which symbolised a shift from erstwhile Rajpath. “Shed colonial traces, take pride in roots” PM Modi had said from the rampant of Red Fort. The new Parliament building is designed to enable 888 members to sit in the Lok Sabha.
