Lakhimpur incident: Akhilesh Yadav assures support to woman candidate

Lucknow (UP), July 11 (ANI): Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav reacted on misbehaving with the party women candidate while she was filing her nomination for block president election in Lakhimpur Kheri district. He said, “What happened in Lakhimpur with women was shameful. I met with those women and assured them of our support”. He also added, “BJP has constantly been involved in hooliganism. Our sisters were humiliated and disrespected. No one would have imagined it. This was only to win the Block President elections. Their celebrations were based on the mockery of democracy”.
