Lockdown shouldn’t be lifted as COVID-19 curve yet to flatten: Apollo’s Dr Vivek
May 30, 2020
New Delhi, May 30 (ANI): Briefing about coronavirus situation in the country, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Senior Interventional Cardiologist, Dr Vivek Gupta stated this is not the time to lift lockdown as curve in India has not been flattened yet. “As a doctor I personally feel, this is not the time to lift lockdown as the curve still has not flattened in India. The number of testing is much less in country. After the fourth lockdown when things were eased out, the numbers have gone up which were earlier 3000 per day is now being detected about 6000-7000 per day. The reason why numbers have gone up is easing of lockdown and number of testing in country. India is not going to flatten the curve in next 3 weeks, government should rethink,” said Dr Vivek Gupta.
