“Looking forward to engaging bilaterally” Pakistan FM Bhutto’s U-turn ahead of SCO meeting in Goa

New Delhi, May 4 (ANI): Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto will visit India today for the SCO Foreign Ministers’ meeting. Ahead of his arrival in India, Bilawal shared a video message on his official Twitter handle. Bhutto said that he looks forward to constructive discussions with his Counterparts from friendly countries. Earlier this year, Bilawal Bhutto said that there won’t be any bilateral talks with his Indian Counterpart EAM Jaishankar. During a press conference, Bhutto said that SCO does not allow countries to raise bilateral issues on its platform. Notably, Bhutto is the first Pakistani Foreign Minister to visit India in 12 years. This year, India holds the presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. Members of the SCO include Russia, India, China, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. On May 05, Foreign Ministers of SCO member nations will meet in Taj Exotica in Goa.
