Maharashtra Health Minister orders strict surveillance to curb Zika virus

Mumbai, Aug 04 (ANI): After Maharashtra reported first case of the dreadful Zika virus, Health Minister Rajesh Tope on August 04 said that strict surveillance has been directed in areas where Zika virus cases have been detected. “1st case of Zika virus (in Maharashtra) was identified in Pune and the infected is a woman. After detailed information, State Health Dept has taken steps on preventive actions such as fogging. Our dept is also doing surveillance,” said Tope.
