Martial arts teaching programme ‘Penkaruthu’ organised in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Dec 20 (ANI): Kerala State Youth Welfare Board organised a training programme ‘Penkaruthu’ in Thiruvananthapuram. The 10-day programme gives martial arts teaching to young girls. The programme is aimed to increase self-confidence among young girls and women. A participant said, “We never thought that this (training) will instil courage in us.” About 600 girls were trained from Thiruvananthapuram in the programme.
