Migrant housed at Nagpur shelter home says ‘even a dog can’t eat such food’

Nagpur (Maharashtra), Apr 01 (ANI): The nation entered the eighth day of nationwide lockdown, in the wake of pandemic coronavirus. Amid this humanitarian disaster, the migrant laboures are facing the shakeout. One of the labourers who is staying at Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s home shelter in Maharashtra said, “The food is so bad that even the dog will not eat it.” The labourers said the authorities are giving them inedible food in the home shelter. The labourers also said the home shelter manager is not following the social distancing norms properly, as 20 to 25 men are staying in one room. Nagpur Municipal Corporation has converted a High School into a shelter home to temporarily house the migrant labourers. However, the care taker of the home shelter has denied all the allegations.
