Migrant workers await transport at Delhi-UP Border to reach their native places

Delhi-UP Border, May 17 (ANI): Migrant workers gathered at Delhi-Uttar Pradesh border in large numbers on May 17. After the Auraiya accident, Uttar Pradesh government has ordered its district magistrates to arrange buses for migrant workers who are found walking on foot. They are heading towards their native places in different parts of Uttar Pradesh. Migrant workers are walking despite heat conditions in order to reach to their native places. While speaking to ANI, the police official said, “There is a large crowd here in Gazipur at the Delhi-UP border. We are asking them to take trains or buses. No person without a valid pass is allowed to enter the state.” According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 active cases rose to 53,035 with 2752 deaths in India.
