Mumbai NGO providing food to needy amid COVID surge

Mumbai, Apr 18 (ANI): An NGO has emerged as messiah for marginalised people amid surge in COVID-19 cases in Mumbai. Due to the pandemic and current restriction from Maharashtra government, many daily wagers have lost their jobs. “We started this last year & we've been working to eliminate hunger in Mumbai. Last year we provided over 47 lakh meals. We have once again started distributing meal,” Khaana Chahiye Foundation Co-founder Ruben said. This NGO is providing food to the needy in Mumbai city. In 2020, this NGO had provided 47 lakh meals to the poor people. Mumbai reported over 8,000 new cases on April 17.
