Noida landlord waive rent of his 50 tenants amid coronavirus lockdown

Noida (Uttar Pradesh), Mar 30 (ANI): A resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Barola village has waived off the rent of his 50 tenants amid coronavirus outbreak. Kushal Pal is requesting them not to leave their residences or go back to their native place amid COVID-19 pandemic. He also provided 5 kg packets of flour to all his tenants, driver and security guard. While speaking to ANI, Kushal Pal said, “Everyone should do this. We should help people in such tough times. I have 50 tenants and the rent would have been around Rs 1.50 lakh but I waived it off for this month.” “I have also given 5 kg packets of flour to my security guard, my driver and the domestic helper,” he added. There are total 65 positive cases of coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases rose to 1024 in India (including 901 active cases, 96 cured/discharged/migrated people and 27 deaths).
