Not approved by Naidu: TDP on its Rajya Sabha MPs pass resolution to merge legislature party with BJP

New Delhi, Jun 21 (ANI): Telugu Desam Party (TDP) parliamentary leader Galla Jayadev said that the move by TDP MP’s would be accessed for its legality. He said, “We're assessing the situation to see if it's legally possible or not. TDP President didn't accept it. I being Parliamentary Party leader didn't sign that letter. 4 members independently writing to merge the party, we're assessing if it's legal or not. 3 Lok Sabha and 2 Rajya Sabha MPs are still with TDP, so we're not sure if it's possible.” He further added, “The 4 MPs are propagating that this is to help Chandrababu Naidu or for good of TDP which is absolutely wrong. I want to dismiss that completely. Chandrababu Naidu hasn't asked or consented them to go. So question of them doing it for his sake is absolutely false and malicious.” Four TDP MPS YS Chowdary, CM Ramesh, TG Venkatesh and GM Rao passed a resolution on Thursday to merge Legislature Party of TDP with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and later joined BJP.
