Our efforts began much before India reported first COVID-19 case: Armed Medical Corps DG

New Delhi, Mar 27 (ANI): Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services, Lt Gen Anup Banerji informed that the efforts to combat coronavirus started in Armed Medical Corps much before India reported its first case. He said, "Our efforts started much before first case of COVID-19 was detected in India. We issued advisories regarding respiratory illness. Our staff is very diligent and aware about it. "Talking about the positive case of coronavirus in Medical Corps, Lt Gen Banerji said, "The colleagues of the personnel which was diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in Ladakh, have been put into a quarantine camp in the barrack unit and their tests have come negative. They are healthy."
