New Delhi, Nov 10 (ANI): Padma Shri awardee, speech and hearing impaired wrestler Virender Singh on November 10 staged a sit-in demonstration outside the Haryana Bhawan in Delhi demanding Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to recognise the state's deaf sportspersons, like him, as para-athletes. Virender Singh was conferred the Padma Shri award on November 09. “He has been visiting Haryana ministers for years, for incentives for deaf sportspersons just like para-athletes. In 2017, State Government announced a Rs 6 Crore incentive for him, yet to receive. Grade A job was announced, didn't get it. He has Grade C job,” Rambir Singh, Virender Singh’s brother told ANI.
