PMJAY golden cards provided to cab drivers in Srinagar

Srinagar, Sept 19 (ANI): A camp for cab drivers and its owners was organised in Srinagar to provide them golden health cards under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). It is popularly known as Ayushman Bharat Yojana. It is a health insurance scheme which caters to the poor, lower section of the society. The camp was organised for the cab drivers who are busy with their profession and have no time to go for the golden health cards. The department organised the camp at the cab stand in a bid to reach out to the cab drivers. The scheme provides health insurance of up to 5 lakhs for treatments in all hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir. They get a lot of benefits from this scheme especially poor people who can't afford the expensive treatments in hospitals. Jammu and Kashmir government hospitals and private hospitals also opened special counters for this scheme where people can avail all the facilities given to the card holders. It received a huge response from the cab drivers and owners of the cabs. Some cab drivers also took their family members to get this golden card.
