President Kovind, Vice President and PM Modi extend Diwali greetings

New Delhi, Nov 04 (ANI): President of India Ram Nath Kovind extended greetings to people on the occasion of Diwali and urged the people to protect environment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended greetings on the occasion. Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu also conveyed his best wishes. "I extend my greetings and best wishes to all the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. Diwali is the festival of victory of good over evil and light over darkness. Let us all together, celebrate this festival in a clean and safe way and take a pledge to contribute to protecting the environment," the President tweeted in Hindi."Greetings to the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. I wish that this festival of lights brings happiness, prosperity and good fortune in your life. Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali," Prime Minister Modi tweeted. “My greetings on the auspicious occasion of Deepawali. Celebrated with traditional fervor, Deepawali is associated with Shri Rama’s return to Ayodhya with Maa Sita and Laxmana after the exile of 14 years. He was the embodiment of truth, Dharma, courage and compassion in our culture,” tweeted Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. “Signifying the victory of good over evil, the festival reaffirms our belief in the noble ideals of Shri Rama’s life. May this festival that brings light, harmony and prosperity into our lives usher in a new enthusiasm to make our lives more fulfilling and bring happiness to everyone,” added Naidu.
