President Ram Nath Kovind confers Padma Awards 2020

New Delhi, Nov 08 (ANI): Boxer M C Mary Kom was honoured with Padma Vibhushan 2020 at Rashtrapati Bhavan on November 08. Anand Mahindra, the chairman of Mahindra Group was conferred with the Padma Bhushan award. Former Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar was awarded the Padma Bhushan posthumously. The award was received by his son Utpal Parrikar. Filmmakers Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor also received Padma Shri Awards. Singer Dr Suresh Wadkar was also presented Padma Shri Award for singing in multiple languages in his career of 40 years. They received awards by President Ram Nath Kovind. The Awards are given in three categories: Padma Vibhushan (for exceptional and distinguished service), Padma Bhushan (distinguished service of higher order) and Padma Shri (distinguished service).
