Priyanka Gandhi should take over as party chief if Rahul Gandhi is not willing: Acharya Pramod

New Delhi, May 31 (ANI): While speaking on the candidate list of Congress for the Rajya Sabha (RS) polls, Congress Leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam on May 31 said that party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should take the command of the party if party leader Rahul Gandhi does not accept the post of Congress President. “There are some leaders in Congress who hate the word 'Hindu', 'religion'. If they hate the word, how can they send a religious leader to Rajya Sabha Polls? But I still stand with Congress,” the Congress leader said. “If Rahul Gandhi doesn’t accept the Congress President post then the party's command should be given to Priyanka Gandhi. Many leaders and workers believe so. But then some party members started saying that I'm against Rahul Gandhi, I'm not, why would I be,” he added. “If Rahul Gandhi doesn't accept the post, such a big party needs a face who can handle and coordinate between youth and the experienced members of the party. This face is Priyanka Gandhi, as per many people,” he further added.
