Punjab cop, whose hand was chopped off by lockdown violators, discharged post successful surgery

Patiala (Punjab), Apr 30 (ANI): Punjab Police Sub Inspector (SI) Harjeeet Singh reached his home in Patiala. He was discharged on April 30 from PGIMER in Chandigarh. His hand was chopped off (and later replanted) by COVID-19 lockdown violators. He was on duty to enforce curfew in the wake of coronavirus pandemic at Patiala Sabzi Mandi on April 12 when the incident happened. Singh was later promoted to the rank of SI from ASI (Assistant Sub Inspector) by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
