Raids on Vivo: Companies operating in India need to follow the law of land, says MEA

New Delhi July 07 (ANI): The spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs, Arindam, Bagchi on July 07 referring to raids on Chinese phone manufacturer Vivo’s office across the country said that companies who operate in India need to follow the law of land. Addressing a Press conference, Bagchi said, Companies that operate here need to follow the law of the land. Our legal authorities are taking steps as per law of the land. I don't see the case to make comments as such on it.” “We haven't received information from the authorities. It's a legal issue, as & when we will receive something & there is a need to speak with China, we have a system of mutual assistance,” he added. ED on July 05 conducted searches at 40 locations in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and some southern states in connection with a case linked to Vivo Mobile Communications and some other Chinese firms.
