Railways Minister takes stock of Sivok-Rangpo New BG Rail Line Project in WB’s Sivok

Sivok (West Bengal), Mar 05 (ANI): Amid the construction of 44.98 km long Sivok-Rangpo New BG Rail Line Project, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on March 05 took stock of 14-tunneled project in West Bengal. The project with 13 major and 8 minor bridges covering 5 stations, will connect Sikkim with the rest of the country. It also carries strategic importance with aim for future connectivity to Gangtok and thereafter to Indo-China Border. Project also aims to bring huge relief to traffic issue witnessed by Sikkim whose connectivity was only by road so far. It will also play a vital role and assist in meeting the Defence requirements.
